This pendant dazzles with a blaze of colours and a structure that reminds us of the work of Antoni Gaudi. And where did the idea for the opal come from? Well, we want to take you straight to Ethiopia. We are going to Dallol, to the Danakil Desert, where the highest measured temperature on Earth prevails, and hot springs and geysers, created as a result of the movement of tectonic plates, enchant with their colours, contrasting with the dry, desert land. And this is where the Ethiopian opal comes in, which cannot be photographed. The opalescent orange-yellow and blue-green colours shimmer and remind us how hot it is in their own country.
