14K Gold, Art Deco Inspired Diamond Ring

In the 1920s, the Palais Garnier balls were all about simple lines, contrasts and the elegance of cubist compositions. When jazz filled the concert halls, jewellery was taking on a new language – bold, structured and light. This ring is a contemporary response to that era.

A centrally set diamond – like a spotlight in a theatre – emerges from an octagonal setting inlaid with smaller stones, which, like an audience, focus on the main soloist. The gradation of size and geometric precision of the form evoke the architectural boldness of the Art Deco style: symmetry, rhythm and monumentality.

In our workshop, this form was refined with surgical precision: each stone was individually selected by a gemologist, and the setting – measured in microns by a goldsmith who spent long hours on it.
