On the plate of the signet ring, the night sky, or more precisely the constellation of Arrow, is depicted using diamonds of various sizes.

The Japanese letter "ya" (pronounced "ja") is engraved on the inside, meaning the aforementioned constellation, but also simply evening.

There are various myths about who and to whom shot the arrow. This constellation has been known since antiquity, and was also one of the 48 constellations described by Ptolemy. It represents an arrow from the bow of the mythological god of love Eros or an arrow with which Apollo defeated the one-eyed giant Cyclops.

Hyginus, on the other hand, believed that Sagitta was one of the arrows that Heracles shot to kill the Caucasian eagle that was tearing out Prometheus' liver. Another version says that it was an arrow with which Heracles killed the Stymphalian birds while performing one of the twelve labors.
