Gold cross pendant from the 1950s

On the back of this small pendant, two dates are inscribed – as if someone wanted to leave a golden trace of the subsequent stages of growing up. The first one, "I KOM 9 X 1955 Z.S.", refers to the day when the cross was given as a communion gift. The second one, "29 V 66", appeared eleven years later, perhaps added with another important moment in mind, another stage in the same person's journey.

Created in the 1950s, the pendant is made of 585 hallmark gold, with a soft, warm hue characteristic of that decade. On the front – a classic image of the crucifixion, crafted with attention to proportion and chiaroscuro. On the reverse – a delicate, hand-engraved inscription that has retained its clarity over the decades. It is not just a memento, but also a small artifact of time that can now become part of a new story.
