Gold earrings with a large comet baroque pearl, aquamarine and iolite - Seafood
Description
In these earrings, the sea is not a metaphor but a real point of reference. Large, cometary baroque pearls resemble fragments of shells torn from the current – each one different, with its own weight, line, and luster. Their irregular form has not been corrected or smoothed – we allowed the pearls to remain themselves, exactly as nature shaped them.
Above the pearls, a cool aquamarine appears, cut into a smooth oval, as if a piece of a calm water surface had been captured. Below, in contrast to the milky mass of the pearl, an iolite of a deep, inky-violet color has been set. This is a stone with variable optics – depending on the light, it can change from garnet to purple, introducing movement and ambiguity into the composition.
The earrings are handcrafted in our workshop, working exclusively with carefully selected baroque pearls. No two pieces are identical – the arrangement, proportions, and character of each pair result from the specific pearl that begins the entire design. 750 purity gold provides a frame for the stones and pearls, not a dominant feature – its role is to order the form and emphasize natural contrasts.
Seafood is jewelry that does not pretend to be symmetrical and never repeats itself.
