At first glance - delicacy. Yet there is something perverse about this composition. The regular rhythm of the 585 yellow gold chain is broken by pearls of irregular beauty and surprising hues: cream, peach, lavender, and navy. Each one seems to tell its own story, inscribed in the structure of the mother-of-pearl, neither maritime nor human.

Such color combinations were not accidental. In the second half of the 20th century, when this necklace was created, European designers began to reach for non-classical pearl shades, inspired not only by the Asian jewelry market but also by a growing interest in ethnic art and non-European cultures. Each shade symbolized something different: white – purity, pink – love, purple – spirituality, and navy – strength.

The "rolo" chain with thin links not only keeps the entire composition in balance but also allows the pearls to "breathe"; they remain lightly suspended, like drops on golden threads.
