Daisy Diamond Ring 2 ct, Vintage
Description
Seven diamonds arranged in the shape of a blooming flower form a daisy-type composition – a motif particularly popular in jewelry from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, when jewelers eagerly drew upon nature's symbols, imbuing them with meaning beyond mere decoration. This ring brings to mind a wood anemone: delicate, yet deeply rooted in ancient beliefs. In ancient Rome, these plants were thought to protect against diseases and evil influences, which is why their images appeared in amulets and objects worn close to the body.
The diamonds, with a total weight of approximately 2 ct, are set in a classic, floral crown that allows the stones to interact with light with every movement of the hand.
The ring's gold shank was made in an expandable form, which was a practical but rarely seen solution. Such a mechanism significantly facilitates putting on and taking off jewelry for people with wider finger joints, without compromising the overall aesthetics. This is a detail that reveals the experience of an old master, thinking not only about form but also about everyday wearing comfort.
