Gold ring with faceted emerald

In the chronicles of ancient merchants, there sometimes appears a tale of green stones brought from the distant mountains of the New World. Emeralds arrived in Europe in chests full of spices, silk, and gold, and their deep hue quickly became a symbol of prosperity and refined taste. It was then that their natural beauty began to be emphasized with wide, golden settings that allowed the stone to speak with its own light.

This ring continues that tradition in a modern form. The central 4 ct emerald has been cut into an oval shape and covered with a subtle network of facets. Thanks to this, the surface of the stone is not completely smooth – light refracts on numerous planes, bringing out various shades of green from the stone: from a cool, forest hue to brighter, almost spring-like reflections.

The stone is set in a smooth yellow gold bezel setting. The wide, softly flowing band seamlessly transitions into the setting, creating a serene, sculptural form that stably supports the large stone. This solution not only protects the emerald but also enhances its visual presence – the green appears even more saturated against the warm color of the gold.

The ring was created in our goldsmith workshop, where jewelers, gemologists, and art historians work on its proportions and details. Thanks to this, every element – from the selection of the stone to its setting – is subordinated to one idea: to allow the natural structure of the emerald to tell its own story, written in its green depth.
