A modern cast of a 14th-century coin depicting on the obverse the image of Henry VII of Luxembourg, King of Germany from 1308 and Holy Roman Emperor from 1312, the first ruler of the Luxembourg dynasty on the throne of the Holy Roman Empire. The reverse of the coin depicts the holy Roman martyrs, Protasius and Gervasius, who according to Christian tradition died for their faith in the 4th century.
The coin was cast in 18-karat gold (0.750) in Italy between 1944 and 1968. This is confirmed by the markings on the reverse of the coin. The original coin is the 1 penny of Henry VII of Luxembourg (Duchy of Milan, 1311-1313).
